| Persian Tote (Item 37P) |
Posted Thursday, March 15, 2007 Grab Your Bag & Go! Remember the fantastic yarn Meredith found at last year's Summer Market (see previous article: "More on Indy: Exciting New Fibers)? Now we have Meredith's finished Persian tote stitched with this yarn. Click on article title to take a look (and see Meredith too). Great looking bag, isn't it! The beautiful Chilean wool certainly gives this tote the appearance of a hand-woven Indian rug. In addition to the wool from South America, Meredith also used tapestry wool. As always, Julie's special eye for fabrics and finishing make this an attention grabber.
Here's a closeup of the bag. The shaded wool creates such a rich look!
And here's another version -- stitched by a customer from Philly. So smart looking in the muted greens and blues.
Don't have time to make a tote? How about tackling one of Julie's great new envelope bag designs? This bright orange paisley envelope bag works up beautifully in a variety of fibers.
Both of these designs are available in our on-line shop (Bags & Purse Inserts category). The Persian Tote is 37P on 13 mesh and sells for $300. The paisley envelope bag is 39P on 14 mesh and sells for $125.
