High Season for Sip & Stitch

Every year from November to April, Julie spends early Thursday morning spiffing up the backyard, brewing coffee and tea, rearranging canvas and yarn displays, and generally getting ready for the onslaught of avid stitchers who will arrive at 10:00 a.m.

A 30-year tradition, Sip & Stitch at Julie's retail store in Key West draws stitchers from around the country and the world (yes, we get lots of folks from overseas). Friendships have been made around Julie's pool that are renewed each winter as stitchers return for vacation or for the season. New arrivals are always welcomed -- even folks off the cruise ships with only a few hours to spare in paradise.

The photo below is typical of the turnout. Whether you're a beginner, or an experienced stitcher who can help other's learn the fine points of the art, you will enjoy seeing the variety of projects that make it to Julie's backyard.
