(Her Mom and the girls only thought they were here for vacation.) Of course moving everything out of one room while it was prepared for the final coat was quite a feat. All those nasty little push pin holes have been filled, sanded, and made ready for the new paint. Colors have been selected, and in some cases reselected. (Dick painted his version of lemon yellow while Julie was at market but it was quickly replaced with Julie's version after she returned.) Then came time for putting the store back together. Well that means going through the many, many, many, .......... years of stuff.
Julie has expanded her variety of fibers. The colors on the walls will be amazing. At this point it is still half a vision. The new Claudia fibers include wool, silk blends, and linen. They are all hand died with a huge rainbow of colors. The linen is already being worked on a Seaglass Mermaid.) The wall of wool is now expanded to be a full wall. AND there will be lots more metallics in the inventory for all you fancy stitchers. This year will be full of suprises when we reopen in the fall.
Enjoy the pictures. Hopefully this will be our only hurricane this year. |
