Posted Monday, June 19, 2006 Market Update & New Designs We're back from Market and scrambling to deliver orders. New hand-painted needlepoint designs were very successful -- click article title to learn more. Here we are in Indianapolis -- day one of the Market. Meredith, Pam and I spent all the previous day getting the booth ready, which was a little more work than either of those first-timers expected. Still we were ready to go when the market opened.
Nothing sells needlepoint like showing people what a canvas can become with a little work and creativity. That's why I always bring as many finsihed samples to each show as my shipping budget will allow. A BIG hit at the Indy Market were these shell totes done by two of my customers. Don't you just love the difference a change of background color can make.
And how about the striped side panels? Terrific idea! They really brought attention -- and orders -- to our booth. We found ourselves dressing to coordinate with the bags so that we could "walk the floor" and show them off to the crowd at large.

I took a number of new designs to the show. Here are two of my favorites: new evelope bags. On the left is my Ribbon Envelope (Item 124J). It's perfect for fancy stitches and fun fibers. On the right is my Fantasy Flower Envelope (item 124JB). The bags are $95.00 each and are painted on 13 mesh.
We also spotlighted three new belts: Summer Seas Squares (item 32P- $75.00), Key West Snapshots (Item 31P- $85.00) and Tropical Leaves (Item 36P- $85.00), from top to bottom. All are painted on 16 mesh.
There's more to tell and to show you, but it will have to wait until later in the week. I wanted to get something up on our site, even if it couldn't be the whole story. Though these canvases are not yet in our on-line store, we do have them in stock. If you'd like to order any of the new designs, an email or phone call (305-296-6091) will do the trick. Thanks...back to you later in the week. |
